Subject: Urgent: DCCC on Cantor withdrawal
Per Pergram-Capitol Hill
Comment from Jesse Ferguson, head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).
“Republican Leader Eric Cantor quit bipartisan negotiations of a budget deal and is willing to risk economic disaster to protect taxpayer subsidies for Big Oil and more tax breaks for multimillionaires,” said Jesse Ferguson of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “The fact that Republican Leader Eric Cantor walked away from bipartisan negotiations, shows that that Republicans have no interest in compromise. Republican Leader Cantor made clear that his “negotiation” is a plan that starts and ends with destroying Medicare while protecting subsidies for Big Oil and tax breaks for multimillionaires.”
