OH-OH ….trouble in the House of Representatives on Speaker Boehner bill

Below is the latest (from FNC’s Chad Pergram) on the Speaker Boehner bill…looks like there are troubles.  The Speaker does not have the votes…

Urgent: House Republicans “looking at options to “re-write” the Boehner Bill

Per Pergram-Capitol Hill

This is evident that the GOP does not have the votes to pass the Boehner bill as written tomorrow on the House floor

From a Boehner spokesman Michael Steel:

“We’re here to change Washington – no more smoke-and-mirrors, no more ‘phantom cuts.’ We promised that we will cut spending more than we increase the debt limit – with no tax hikes – and we will keep that promise. As we speak, Congressional staff are looking at options to re-write the legislation to meet our pledge. This is what can happen when you have an actual plan and submit it for independent review – which the Democrats who run Washington have refused to do.”

· I am also told on good source that there are no Democrats who will vote for this bill.

· Secondly, they are VERY worried here about putting this bill on the floor tomrorow and having it fail during a market session. Secondly, they would also be fearful of having the bill on the floor and then yanking it…during a market session…concerned it would be a repeat of what happened in September, 2008 with the first failed TARP vote.
