After a festive tree lighting ceremony on a chilly (but still comfortable) 47-degree night with a clear sky in President’s Park, POTUS, FLOTUS, Malia and Sasha piled back in the motorcade and are headed back to the White House at 6:18.
Don’t know if viewers could hear via web coverage or on television, but the children in the audience were thrilled that Kermit was there and laughed heartily at his jokes. They also sang to all the Christmas songs they knew, most loudly — and cheerfully — to Santa’s rendition of Rudolph.
