From time to time I will see an obituary and think “I would have liked to have interviewed that person.” There are so many people who have led fascinating lives who I have never heard of until – unfortunately – I see the obituary.
You sure don’t have to be famous to lead a fascinating or heroic or in some instances, unusual lives. This is particularly true of the many men and women who fought or supported the war effort during WWII. Many did extraordinary things…and then, after the war, returned to their hometowns and led quiet lives for decades. Their lives are fascinating – heroic and then quiet.
