I see that CNN’s Susan Candiotti is getting some criticism for correctly – factually – stating what the Tulsa shooters said. It is disgusting what they said. It was both racist and crude.
I know it offends many – but why should the media sugar coat the grotesque statements and make it look less than it is? When you hear the actual words – as correctly reported by Candiotti – you get it…you get it big time. If you hear a sugar coated description you might just let it pass by. A warning that it is coming is a good idea but I don’t see why we in the media should cover for people who are nasty and crude and I don’t see why we should present the news different from what it is.
What do YOU think?
