As you know, I recently traveled to Sudan with Reverend Franklin Graham and Samaritans Purse. We witnessed the worst atrocities – people starving to death and getting bombed by their own President, President Bashir (who is already under indictment for war crimes and genocide.) I met Ryan Boyette in South Sudan (he lives in the Nuba Mountains) and he just emailed me the note below from South Sudan:

Update from Southern Kordofan, Sudan
As you may know Khartoum has seen a full week of protest with every day growing in number with a call to all Sudanese to take to the streets on June 30th the same day Bashir took power in 1989.
Today I receive the attached document by the leadership of the SRF and the SPLM-N. The document is a statement regarding the protest. The statement condones the protest and encourages all people, especially from Blue Nile, Southern Kordofan and Darfur to take part in the protests. It also encourages all participants to maintain a peaceful environment while protesting.
The letter further states that the SRF are willing to declare a cease fire on all fronts of the fighting if the current regime is toppled and a peaceful transition of power is achieved.
I am currently working on a full translation of the document. If you have any question please feel free to contact me.
Thank you
Ryan Boyette
