Motorcade arrived back at the White House at 10:08 p.m.
Your pool had briefly returned to the motorcade outside the Verizon Center before re-entering the game during the fourth quarter.
POTUS and FLOTUS were joined by Malia Obama, and the Obamas were put on the arena’s Kiss Cam.
The president kissed his wife to cheers from the crowd.
The motorcade departed the Verizon Center at 10:04 p.m.

Both the U.S. men and women have been in Washington for training since July 13. The men’s national team is coached by Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, assisted by Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim, former New York Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni and former Portland Trail Blazers head coach and NBA standout Nate McMillan. The roster includes such NBA all-stars as Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant and the New York Knicks’ Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony.
UConn head coach Geno Auriemma leads the women’s national team, assisted by DePaul University head coach Doug Bruno, Washington Mystics head coach Jennifer Gillom and Atlanta Dream head coach Marynell Meadors. Its roster includes six gold medalists from the 2008 Olympics, Tamika Catchings, the current WNBA most valuable player, and Maya Moore, the reigning WNBA rookie of the year.
The women’s national team defeated China 100-62 in an exhibition game May 12. The U.S. is the defending Olympic champion, going 8-0 record in the 2008 Olympics.
The men’s national team defeated the Dominican Republic 113-59 in an exhibition game July 12. The U.S. is the defending Olympic champion.
