Gov Romney press pool report

I have left the Gov Romney press and I am now in Germany headed back to USA. Below is the latest press pool report that was emailed to me so I am posting for you to read:

——-

Subject: Sikorski spray: CNN VIP Pool Mitt Romney Trip to London, Israel and Poland

Mitt Romney Participates in Photo Spray with Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

The two met walked down a staircase into a large foyer at Foksal Palace. Two crystal chandeliers hung overhead and behind the men was a large tapestry of a queen sitting on a throne with warriors venerating her.

They walked to the center of the room. The foreign minister spoke Polish but the translator was whispering the translation in Romney’s ear so it wasn’t audible. Romney stood a little stiffly with his arms at his sides during a long monologue from Sikorski.

Then Romney spoke:
“Thank you Mr Foreign Minister. I appreciate the chance to have shared some of our morning together.”

“I also want to express appreciation to the government of Poland and the people of Poland for the courageous and brave contribution of your men and women in supporting an effort of freedom and liberty, both in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
“I know this contribution has come at enormous human costs with the loss of Polish lives, and on behalf of my countrymen I express deep appreciation for your willingness to fight with us, to stand with us, and to be our friends in time of crisis and military conflict.”

“We have a long history of standing together. Poland was our ally in securing our independence in our very earliest days as a nation.
Our friendship spans centuries and is built by our common values and love of freedom.”

“As we face a world which seeks to determine a course towards greater freedom or more authoritarionism, we will continue to work together to be an example of the blessings of economic and political freedom and personal freedom.”

Stand in our mutual effort to secure peace for ourselves and others.

We appreciate the greatness of this country…beauty of this country.

And the sacrifice for liberty. Thank you.

Hand shake, Romney escorted out front, pool ushered out back. Rolling to next stop.
