Travel pool #4

The motorcade arrived without incident at the Marriott hotel in Stamford at 5:36 p.m. for the first campaign event. Pool is holding in a hotel meeting room. President’s remarks are to be pooled press.

Re the gaggle, campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki adds that the campaign never releases cash-on-hand figures prior to filing its reports, saying it’s standard procedure for each month.

From the campaign:

On Monday, August 6, President Obama will attend two fundraisers in Connecticut. First, President Obama will deliver remarks at a reception with 500 attendees at the Stamford Marriot Hotel. Then, he will attend a dinner with 60 attendees at a private residence in Westport. Governor Malloy will attend both events on Monday.

Tickets for the dinner cost $35,800 per person and tickets for the reception start at $500 per person. Proceeds from both events will go to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee of Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and several state Democratic parties.
