I am on a flight and just got an email from my husband

which reads: ‘dont go to NO….stay in Tampa.’  He knows that I packed all my hurricane gear and I have offered to go to New Orleans.  My husband is used to my adventures so I wondered why the email.   I am on a flight and saw the headline on DrudgeReport that Hurricane Issac could rival Katrina and is now headed to New Orleans (yes, this flight has internet.) So I guess I now know why the short email from my husband.

As you know, during Katrina EVERYBODY in the media went to New Orleans or other hurricane damaged areas.  The media really did a great job covering the story.  While you may have only seen the faces of the anchors, I hope you know that the heavy lifting was done by members of the media you don’t see on camera. I  saw many members of the media doing more than their jobs —-they helped rescue people, deliver food and water etc.

Let’s hope this Hurricane Issac just goes away — slows down, dumps some water (not much) and just unwinds to zero.
