As you know, I went to the Sudan and South Sudan with Reverend Franklin Graham (Samaritan’s Purse) a few months ago. We saw the worst – people starving to death, dying of dehydration, living on bugs and leaves, burned and bombed villages and churches and families hiding in caves. Why? Because their President (President Bashir) is trying to kill them and in many instances he is successful. Bashir is already under indictment for the genocide in the Darfur region. He has now turned his attention – evil attention – to the Nuba Mountain people.
I spotted this pic today in the Wall Street Journal and I am glad to see them report this crisis. I wish I could go back and cover this story more and put more of a spotlight on it. I would love to figure out a way to help these people. They don’t want money from us, they don’t want anything from anyone — all they want is to live their lives without their own President killing them.
