IS PRESIDENT OBAMA TOO BUSY CAMPAIGNING AND FUNDRAISING TO DO HIS JOB?

I meet my work deadlines….what about you?  Is it really too much to ask that those who have agreed to jobs and deadlines actually do their jobs and meet the deadlines?

For months President Obama has known about this September 6 deadline about sequestration (see below.)  The deadline has been blown.  Yes, it is true the President does not do this number crunching work himself but he is the boss, the one in charge, and if wants to be boss, he should see that the work is done.  This is part of his job.

If deadlines don’t mean anything, why do they set them?

I don’t know about you, but I think he (and others who likewise are not doing their jobs) should cut down on their campaigning and fund raising a bit and instead do the work they agreed to do when we elected them.  It may not be a big deal but ignoring one’s responsibilities just is endless and becomes a big deal.  It is culture of not doing what one has agreed to do.  Important matters get pushed off until later….usually until after politicians can get past elections.  They postpone so much and so often that they don’t think there is anything wrong with it.

What do YOU think?

The Obama administration has missed a key deadline to submit a report on how it would implement $109 billion in across-the-board budget cuts scheduled to take effect Jan. 2.

The administration was supposed to send to Congress by Sept. 6 detailed information on every account that would be affected under sequestration, including how much money would be cut from every program, project and activity level.

But that day, the administration told Federal Times the report will come “late next week.” The administration said it needed more time to address the complex issues involved in planning for sequestration.
