See below the emails I received about Greta (the pic.) Your contributions go to helping so many pets! Greta has a home because of YOU. I love Pet Connect Rescue because every dime you give goes to the pets since it is run by volunteers. I post this pic (and the emails below) because I want you to know what you do. It is amazing. As soon as I finish posting this posting, I am going to go to the link and make a contribution. I know times are tough..but just think what your contributions do! I am so flattered that this doggie was named after me!

Hi Greta,
Me again! I forgot to pass along this message about a rescued shepherd who is named Greta. Joe Bordonaro, one of our core volunteers named her in your honor when he pulled her from the shelter) . This is the happy ever after story that he forwarded from her adopters- enjoy!

Hi Joe!
Just wanted to give you an update on Greta. We are all so happy and I can’t imagine not having her as part of the family. Her and Abby get along great, Abby has had a bit of a spring in her step again. No one knows she’s almost 9! My sister has a 2-3 year old shepard mix and she and Greta run circles around each other, it’s awesome and it gives Abby a break.
I had Greta in to my vet a couple of weeks ago, he said she was a keeper. (As if I didn’t know!) She gets 5 stars for behaviour there. Once she was on the table she just leaned against the vet tech then layed down and was like jelly. Hilarious! Oh, and I think since she has a nub for a tail she uses her back leg as a substitute to chase. She bites her leg and turns in circles on three legs, it cracks me up every time.
Anyway, I hope all is well and you had a fabulous time in Puerto Rico. When I get Greta to stay still for a minute I will get a couple of pictures to send.
Thanks again!
Amy, Abby, and Greta.
