As you know, the Obama Administration — from the President to the Secretary of State to the UN Ambassador to the White House Press Secretary — pedaled the story for weeks that the attack on Benghazi was a protest spawned by a video. I doubt you bought that story but they kept pushing it and pushing for days and days.
Now tonight I read a story just posted by Washington Post Columnist David Ignatius. He just had a briefing from the CIA and the CIA gave him a timeline of the night that is reposted on WashingtonPost.com. In reading the CIA provided timeline, I came across a curious passage:
“…The first idea is to go to a Benghazi hospital to recover Stevens, who they [CIA reinforcements] rightly suspect is already dead. But the hospital is surrounded by the al-Qaeda-linked Ansar al-Sharia militia that mounted the consulate attack….”
Surrounded by the al Qaeda linked Ansar al Sharia militia that mounted the consular attack? I don’t know if that information (underlined above) was put together in the weeks after the attack — or if known at or about the time of the attack or even within days of the attack.
If the foregoing underlined information was known by the CIA at or about the time of the attack, then President Obama was really off the charts when he again repeated, 13 days later, on Sept.24 on David Letterman the video story.
What do you think? and to fully understand this, you should read his entire story and time line. CLICK HERE to read it.
