During his stop in Beloit, next door to Janesville, VP Biden spoke to a crowd of just over a thousand ppl. He brought Tammy Baldwin on stage to support her, then went into jobs numbers (verbate below). Also misspoke about Romney’s income (20K) and was corrected by the audience (20M) – Biden joked: I guess my middle class roots are showing. During riff on car ads, Biden said even Italian govt “took issue”
12:47:50 And we’ve made real progress. We’ve created 5.4 million new private sector jobs. (applause) Look. And today, today we learned that companies in America hired more workers in October than anytime in the last 8 months. (applause) Housing starts, housing starts are their highest level since July of 08. Exports are up 41 percent, 500k new manufacturing jobs since 2010. Three million more working class families’ children in college today because of Pell grants (applause) And I know, I know the guy next door doesn’t recognize it but we actually did rescue the automobile industry. (applause) and saved a million jobs, a million jobs saved and 200k new jobs continuing to expand.
++MAYBE BECAUSE EVERYBODY KNOWS THE OUTCOME
11:56:14 AM If I have any one regret, the regret I have is in this election we have not fully aired the debate. maybe because everybody knows the outcome, but the single most important thing a president can do other than make the decision to take the nation to war, is his or her appointments to the Supreme Court of the United States of America
++MIDDLE CLASS ROOTS SHOWING
12:00:01 PM Remember how he was asked on 60 Minutes? He was asked, do you think it’s fair to that you made 20 thou — you made 20 thousand dollars last year (shouts in audience) 20 million. (Claps) I guess my middle class roots are showing (chuckles)
++I LOVE OBAMA
12:01:52 PM President obama who I speak to every day, spoke to him – I didn’t speak to him this morning, I spoke to him last night and he’s all over the country as well
Man: tell him we love him!
Biden: I love him too. I love him too. I tell you what, there’s never been a day in the last four years I haven’t been proud to be his vice president, not one single day.
“Even the Italian government took issue with this. No, Im serious. They were offended. Like, what’s he have against Italians? (laughter). Ladies and gentlemen, both GM and Chrysler – Tom I cant remember anytime in my career where at the end of a campaign, two major American corporations have publicly criticized a Republican nominee. I don’t think, it may have happened – not in my memory. They both denounced the Romney ads as untrue and a lie.”
