According to Politico, David Plouffe was on Meet the Press today and he was accusing some of the “politicizing Benghazi.” He is dead wrong – unless he looks in the mirror. There are 4 Americans murdered….and it happened two months ago. Getting the facts – as we are trying to do – is not politicizing. However, hiding the facts is politicizing. Giving out silly stories that are untrue is politicization. So to the extent there is politicization, shame on him.
Rather than making accusations of politicization, he should ask his boss why the Administration cover story (video and protest), why Ambassador Susan Rice gave her incorrect statement on the 4 Sunday shows, why did his boss on Letterman on September 24 and continued to push the untrue story, why did his boss go on the View and push that story, why the President did not call Tunisia himself and tell them we want to talk to the suspect in their custody and instead it took two US Senators Lindsey Graham and Saxby Chambliss to do it last week and they did it in 24 hours, why did the FBI not pick up the documents that Foreign Policy did on Oct 26, etc… and perhaps Plouffe might ask why so many in the media were willing to accept the Administration’s silly video / protest story that was spoon fed to them by the Administration.
It has taken Fox pounding on this story (with the recent help of CBS and Foreign Policy discovering disturbing documents on Oct 26 in the Benghazi consulate) to get the CIA to start talking….and to get some news organizations to begrudgingly admit something is very wrong. They now are.
Even the Washington Post – which apparently has completely abandoned investigative journalism for reasons unknown – now admits (the Editorial Board) that the Benghazi story is a very important one with unanswered questions and that Fox’s investigative reporters have uncovered important information. And if David Plouffe is the least bit concerned that the Benghazi conversation is going on right now, essentially on the eve of the election and that it might have an impact on voters, he should blame his boss and himself. They are doing it to themselves. We at Fox have been trying to get the facts since the 4 Americans were murdered on September 11. If the Administration had early on stepped up to the plate, been honest with the American people about Benghazi and not continuously pedal that silly video/ protest story (and continue to promote it), we would not now be asking.
We only want the facts — but so far, the Administration not only doesn’t want to give the facts.
It didn’t take a rocket scientist to be suspicious of that silly video / protest story — especially when the State Department knew from the real time video they watched during the crisis that there was no protest. It did take aggressive journalists at Fox to keep digging for the truth.
The President has had almost 2 months to address the nation and explain what he knows about what happened and explain why the silly video/protest story. To the extent anyone is still asking as we approach November 6 – and we are – it is because he would not tell us, and it is the President who has pushed this to date. You can’t have two different stories about 4 murdered Americans and look the other way. That is wrong.
So who is REALLY politicizing this crisis? The Obama campaign.
The Obama campaign would rather push Benghazi past the election than address the families of the murdered and the American people and just tell us the truth. Frankly, I can’t believe they are so insensitive to these families. FOUR AMERICANS were murdered!
Give us the facts, without the BS (yes, BS) and the story goes away in short run. We only want the truth. If we have something wrong, call us and tell us. We don’t want to get it wrong. We want the facts.
In the meantime, David Plouffe should check the mirror. He is using the Administration’s failure to answer questions on an immensely important story as a political weapon by crying “politicization.”

White House senior adviser David Plouffe on Sunday lamented the “unprecedented”’ politicization of the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Libya.
“It is remarkable,” Plouffe said on NBC’s “Meet the Press. “I do think the politicization of this has been unprecedented.”
