Republican Congressman Allen West is trailing in a heated race in south Florida…and he is taking the fight for his seat to court! Rep. West alleges voting irregularities and wants a judge to order the seizure of ballots and voting machines in two counties. His campaign calls the scene at the St. Lucie county elections office “complete chaos.” They say Rep. West had a lead until the county’s election supervisor recounted early ballots.
Democrat Patrick Murphy has already declared victory, but the West campaign says: “This race is far from decided and there is no rush to declare an outcome.”
In Arizona, there is another Congressional race that could drag on for days! Republican Martha McSally, the first female U.S. fighter pilot to fly in combat, is leading Democratic Congressman Ron Barber, but there are thousands of uncounted ballots. Rep. Barber says those ballots could tilt the race in his favor.
