Below are notes from my FNC colleague Kara Rowland:
Fun item from Boehner at tree lighting. It’s unseasonably warm and he started his remarks by saying he takes credit for the weather – said he thought the senators from Colorado would first. Then he thanked the singer, Lindsay Lawler, and said he was glad it was nice out so she could wear “that pretty dress” (was a sleeveless gown).
Boehner also chided the Eagle Scout who pressed the button to light the tree, Ryan Shuster from Colorado Springs, for not having his suitcoat buttoned, saying “pictures last forever.”
Not surprisingly, nothing on the fiscal cliff aside from a VERY brief mention by Mark Udall at top of his remarks saying he is confident a grand bargain can be done.
