Urgent: User’s Manual to Capitol Hill today

Per Pergram-Capitol Hill

House members are spreading to the four winds today after last night’s meltdown in the House.

The House will meet in early afternoon, but it will only be an abbreviated session with no legislative business.

The Senate comes in this afternoon, too…to conduct business.

The body of the late Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-HI) continued to lay in state in the Capitol Rotunda overnight. His body will be removed this morning and transferred to the National Cathedral for a memorial service.

Many senators will be in attendance there.

The Senate will do business this afternoon…working on the Sandy emergency spending bill and FISA. Votes this afternoon.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) plans a press conference this afternoon. Other things could pop up.
