U.S. Senator Michael Crapo (R-Idaho) was arrested by an Alexandria police officer at 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning for driving under the influence. The officer was on routine patrol when he noticed Sen. Crapo’s vehicle go through a red traffic signal. The vehicle was stopped at Hume Avenue and Mount Vernon Avenue. Sen. Crapo was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Adult Detention Center and released on an unsecured $1000 bond. He has a court date on Jan. 4. Hope this helps. I don’t have any further information.
