Urgent: Grimm may abstain from voting for Boehner for Speaker after Sandy bill was scrapped

Per Pergram-Capitol Hill

I am told by the office of Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY) that he may abstain from voting for House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) tomorrow when the House conducts its vote.

Boehner only needs 17 defections by name to kick it to a second ballot…something that hasn’t happened since 1923.

But if Grimm votes present or just doesn’t vote, it doesn’t count toward the vote total.

Also, the office of Rep. Pete King (R-NY) says that his remarks on our air earlier about the R’s having to work to get his vote..also extend to the vote for Speaker.
