Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat or something else, you should be pleased Secretary Clinton is healthy and headed back to work in about an hour. She has worked very hard for American people. Some of you may not be in agreement with her on some or all policies, but stop the snarky as to her health (or anyone else’s health.) It is ugly. Disagree with policy if you think she (or someone else) is wrong – but there is a line and health is the line.
I don’t know how it got off the rails with some of you to begin with but I suspect it was in small part because so little information, so few details came out in the very beginning. That may have caused some of you to unfairly ‘jump the gun’ and even get snarky. I trusted the information that came out early because I know how hard she works (I have traveled with her as part of my job) and I know the person who released the information about her health. I have interacted with him professionally for years. He does not lie.
I also suspect so little information came out in the very beginning because people do want some privacy at very personal times. (Can you blame them? I sometimes think we get too much information…eg information about our Presidents’ colonscopies!)
Bottom line: this story is over. Let’s all move on.
