Do you know how many countries still buy oil from Iran (and thus weaken the impact of sanctions?) And here is another thing – do you know how many countries WE give waivers to so that they can buy oil from Iran?

We give waivers to big oil country consumers — eg South Korea, India, Japan…..and why do we do that if it weakens the impact of sanctions on oil producing Iran?  Aren’t we trying to squeeze Iran into stopping their nuclear weapons program?  My guess? Because we don’t want those big oil consuming nations turning to other places in the international oil market for oil and thus driving up the price here in the USA (which could be politically fatal.)

Am I wrong about this?  If I am ….please set me straight…

(And someone should do the research to see what countries get waivers from the USA and post the list here…please)
