Something isn’t right: If we are trying to put the financial squeeze on Iran to stop its nuclear weapons program — how come we give some countries (and big ones) waivers to buy oil from Iran?

Is it because we don’t want these giant Iran buying oil countries (India, Japan, Korea, China etc…the total is 20 countries) to instead turn to our USA international oil sources and thus drive up our gas prices here in USA?  You know it is a political death trap to the majority party if gas prices go up.  But I thought we wanted to put the economic squeeze (sanctions) on Iran?  Politics or nuclear weapons?  (And yes, if Iran gets a nuclear weapon, it is a historic game changer…and for the bad.)

Tell me what you think….
