According to the NY Times today, General Mills almost spiked their yogurt Yoplait with sugar to transform it from a healthy, low cal treat to a dessert. With a yearly revenue to General Mills of $500 million (1999), it was a real money maker for General Mills.  NYT said it had twice as much sugar per serving as the General Mills sugar treat marshmallow  cereal Lucky Charms.
