The U.S. Air Force fires a base commander solely because of his waist line! Colonel Tim Bush (center in the photo above) passed all the tough Air Force fitness standards, the push-ups, the sit-ups and even the running. But according to Air Force fitness standards, Colonel Bush’s waist exceeded the maximum measurement of 39 inches, the only fitness test he failed! Colonel Bush says he is just not a little guy! He says he has always been physically able to do his job during his 25 years of active duty with the Air Force. He took command of the base in Grand Forks, North Dakota in 2011.
Since he passes all the fitness tests, just not that waist line test…should he be relieved of his command? A rule is a rule…or is the Air Force dead wrong about this one? Sound off!
