Urgent: Fox First: White House Easter Egg Roll a go!
Per Pergram-Capitol Hill
Fox has obtained a memo sent to Congressional offices by the White House greenlighting the Easter Egg Roll on April 1.
There was some consternation that the Egg Roll…where passes are offered up to Congressional offices for families and other guests…could be cancelled. On the other hand, some raised hackles that the event was still on amid sequestration, despite the White House being closed to public tours.
However, this memo says it’s a go.
There was a proviso in the original White House email (obtained by Fox last week) to Congressional offices that it could be cancelled…potentially due to a government shutdown…not the sequester.
However, the Senate passed the CR yesterday and the House did so today…singalling that Peter Cotton Tail will be hopping down the bunny trail.
Memo below.
