Whether you are for or against Obamacare…you have to admit, this is lousy. See below…these Dems never read the law yet voted FOR it…and now they are squealing like ‘stuck pigs’ trying to repeal what hurts their rich constituents. The whole idea of Obamacare is that the cost would be shared…that NO ONE got a special deal. Well…scratch that! HHS has given lots of waiver to big companies and unions..and now powerful Democrat Senators suddenly are crying foul and want a single provision repealed. They are not asking to repeal a provision YOU don’t like because you probably are not a big rich and influential corporation.
This post is not about whether Obamacare is good or not…or whether about whether the tax should have been included in the statute or not..this is about the disgrace of our lawmakers…and the fact that 1/ they never bothered to read what they voted on to see if it were wise or not and 2/ once passed by them, the law was supposed to be shared costs by all of us and now special interests are getting special treatment by the very ones who voted for the law in the first place. That just doesn’t seem fair or just to me…maybe you disagree.
Here is the list of Dems who want a special deal for their own political advantage: (and by the way, if they had bothered to read the bill before voting on it, maybe they would not be in this constituent fix!)
Note that the list includes the SENATE MAJORITY LEADER Harry Reid and his # 2 Senator Dick Durbin – the architects of this law in the Senate. No shame? So they aggressively pushed the healthcare law on their colleagues to vote yes and now they say in essence “oh…but wait a second…I didn’t realize this hurts MY friends…we need to repeal that part!” Yes…go figure.
PS – tune into ON THE RECORD at 10pm tonight. We will discuss this.
