Some things you should just stay out of …especially those things where the information you have is woefully inadequate.
On CBS Face the Nation today Former Secretary of State Colin Powell said the “[Zimmerman verdict] will be seen as a questionable judgment on the part of the judicial system.”
I was in the courtroom several days and did not see the Former Secretary there one time. I have not criticized this jury (or any other.) Secretary Powell’s absence from the courtroom makes his opinion woefully inadequate and perhaps even inflammatory because of his stature.
My advice to all those who criticize juries – including the Former Secretary of State – at least sit in the courtroom every day and watch the entire trial so that you see what the jurors see before you criticize.
Am I wrong?
PS: Secretary Powell also said President Obama was right to speak about the case? Was the President right or wrong to speak about the case?
