Here is the press release I just received (and by the way, you all know Dr. Carson, but you should also know his wife.  She is incredible!  She works hard to help others!)  PS – they got the name of the show wrong, but I sort of like the name — “ON THE ROAD!”)  One other thing, the best part of my job is that I get invited to help….and helping is so much fun.

The Paley Foundation and the Carson Scholars Fund


Palm Beach, FL – The Paley Foundation and the Carson Scholars Fund have joined together to host a black tie gala fundraiser on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the exclusive Mar-A-Lago Club in Palm Beach at 7:00 p.m. More than 300 esteemed guests are slated to attend the “Reconstructing the Future for Our Children” gala. World-renowned retired pediatric neurosurgeon, author and co-founder of the Carson Scholars Fund, Dr. Ben Carson will be the keynote speaker. Commentator and Fox Television personality, Greta Van Susteren of “On the Road with Greta Van Susteren” will host the evening’s festivities.


The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and activities include dinner and dancing as well as silent and live auctions. Dr. Carson’s keynote address will begin at 8:45 p.m. The main event sponsor is The Diego Salazar Foundation. All proceeds from the event will be shared evenly to benefit the programs of both organizations.


Dr. Dror Paley, founder of the Paley Foundation and director of the Paley Limb Lengthening Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach said, “We’re looking forward to an uplifting and inspirational evening. Empowering young people is a priority for both The Paley Foundation and the Carson Scholar Fund. This outpouring of support will benefit numerous children ensuring that they can experience and enjoy more complete lives.”


The Paley Foundation and the Carson Scholars Fund are both well-known charities dedicated to helping to improve the lives and minds of children and adults. The Carson Scholars Fund provides college scholarships to selected students in grades 4 – 11 based on high academic achievement and humanitarianism. The Paley Foundation develops and teaches techniques to help eliminate the need for amputation, and save and reconstruct the limbs of children and adults.
