At 2:08 p.m., PAPD arrested two CNN employees for attempting to breach security at the World Trade Center site.

The employees – Mr. Yon Pomrenze, 35, of New York, and Mr. Connor Fieldman Boals, 26, of Brooklyn, both CNN producers – tried to go through a manned gate into the WTC site at Vesey and Washington Street and were stopped by a PAPD officer at that location. Pomrenze and Boals told the officer words to the effect that that if a 16-year-old could get on the site, they should also be able to get in.

The two men then walked east on Vesey Street to the entrance to the WTC PATH station and Mr. Boals was observed on two occasions climbing the fence there but was stopped. The men then tried to forcibly push their way through a controlled gate at Vesey and Church at which point they were arrested.

Both men have been charged with Criminal trespass, Obstruction of Governmental Administration and Disorderly Conduct. The suspects will be processed and transported Central Booking in Manhattan.

PAPD confiscated a Go Pro camera and a video camera on a tripod that the employees had in their possession.
