President Obama promised if a petition on White House.gov received 100,000 signatures in 30 days, the petition would be addressed. That seems fair.
Well….you all got that done….you got that 100k signatures within 30 day. So … where is the White House answer? It has been about 2 weeks since the target 100k was met.
On Monday, FNC’s Ed Henry asked Josh Earnest (White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s replacement) about Sgt. Tahmooressi and Earnest dodged. He referred Ed to the Defense Department. Defense Department? It wasn’t their promise but the White House’s promise.
I don’t get it. The White House promised.
Yes, of course the President is very busy but the President has a big, big staff (he took 400 to Belgium for one night two weeks ago!) so surely he can find one person to assign to this task.
Remember, Sgt Tahmooressi, who was imprisoned March 31, did 2 tours in Afghanistan for us….should the White House not keep its word and answer this petition?
How much longer will Sgt. Tahmooressi have to wait?
