JUST WHAT WE DON’T NEED RIGHT NOW (RUSSIAN BOMBERS GET CLOSE TO USA AGAIN) — WE HAVE ENOUGH PROBLEMS!

Pentagon Spokesman Col. Steve Warren:

“On 9 June, 2014 at approximately 4:30 p.m. an out of area patrol by four Russian long range bombers and one refueling tanker entered the outer ADIZ near Alaska. They were visually identified by two F-22 fighters in the Alaskan NORAD region before splitting off. Two bombers exited the ADIZ heading west and two bombers heading south where they were later visually identified in the ADIZ near the northern California coast by two F-15 fighters from the continental NORAD region. The Russian bombers never entered sovereign U.S. airspace.”

Warren said this is not unusual and there have been roughly 50 such intercepts in the past 5 years.
