I have received many emails from people saying that President Obama won’t help Sgt. Tahmooressi get out of prison because he hates Fox News and because on ON THE RECORD at 7pm I am pushing the matter to be ‘fast tracked’ through the Mexican judicial process.
I am not signing on to the viewer theory but I will say this, if President Obama jumps on this and gets it done, I will be the first to thank him. I want him out and I don’t care who gets the credit
Admittedly, it is way overdue (our marine was imprisoned in Mexico on March 31) but I am anxious to get him out and for us to move on to other stories. So if President Obama gets this fast tracked, I will blog a thank you.
Here is a viewer email (and as noted, he is not the only one)
Thanks for your consistent coverage of Sgt. Tahmooressi. I would like to share with you what I think the answer is to the question, “Why hasn’t Obama got Sgt. Tahmooressi released?”.
I think it is because he doesn’t want you specifically and Fox News to get any credit for his release. What would I suggest, you ask? I would finesse Obama and back him into a corner. I would create a scenario or fuzzy factual report giving Obama all the credit, that is really what he wants. Give the credit to him.
FOX NEWS ALERT.
“PRESIDENT OBAMA BEHIND THE SCENES HAS NEGOTIATED THE RELEASE OF SGT. TALMOORESSI”.
Our unnamed source has informed us President Obama has been working diligently, behind the scenes, for the release of Sgt. Tahmooressi and his release is eminent. We owe the President all the credit. Please sign our thank you card to be sent to President Obama. Job well done Mr. President.
It would be very interesting to hear his denial of the report. I think he would have to go to work and “geteeer done”. Rerun the report until he either denies the report or gets the Sgt.’s release.
Yes, I agree, reading what I just put in words made me want to throw up all over myself. However, if the Sgt. is released I can clean myself up and go on with life. With help he can put his life back together.
Thanks again for standing with the Sgt.’s mother and keeping this tragedy alive.
