DOJ did not want video released – click

From FNC Jake Gibson:

——

Law enforcement officials tell Fox News that the release by Ferguson police on Friday of surveillance video allegedly showing teenager Michael Brown robbing a store shortly before he was killed last week came over the objections of federal authorities.

From a US law enforcement official:

“Federal authorities opposed the release of the robbery video. The Ferguson police department wanted to release it on thursday; Justice Department asked them not to, believing it would roil the community further, and successfully prevented the video’s release at that time. Friday’s release occured over the objection of federal authorities. A copy of the video has also been in possession of federal investigators and there were never any plans by the federal investigators to release that copy.
