Check out these pictures that were sent to me from One Laptop Per Child, a non-profit organization working to provide children in developing nations with an education through the XO laptop. The XO is a durable, energy efficient computer that costs under $250 and makes a world of difference to these children. The laptops are given directly to the children so that they actually own them, giving them a sense of pride in addition to endless opportunities through learning. Reverend Franklin Graham's relief organization Samaritan's Purse recently received a donation to purchase 100 of these laptops for orphan children in Haiti, where they are currently building a new school and home.
