The FBI investigation in Benghazi is disgraceful. They didn’t go there for about two weeks after the assault and the murders (they arrived at the end of September) and spent a very very short time there — they said it was dangerous. The media, unarmed, was there yet our FBI could not make it safe for t hemselves?
The obvious disgrace of the FBI investigation is demonstrated by the fact that ForeignPolicy.com sent journalists to Benghazi on OCT 26 (a month later) and the journalists found inside the compound IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS that the FBI just ignored or walked over (take your pick.)
By the way, don’t get me started about the failure of the FBI and President Obama to get a swift interview with the man in Tunisian custody – the man the CIA identified on tape as being AT THE CONSULATE DURING the attack on September 11. The Obama Administration and FBI whined that the Tunisian Government would not let them interview this man…and then finally, after weeks and weeks of no interview, Senator Lindsey Graham sent a letter and made a simple call to the Tunisian Embassy and got our FBI access WITHIN 24 HOURS to the man. Are you telling me that the Tunisian government would not have responded to the President of the United States if HE had called? or the Secretary of State? Why did it take a US Senator to do it?
