Pee-wee hockey coach sentenced to 15 days in jail for tripping rival player…does the punishment fit the crime?

A hockey game turning violent! But it is not a professional hockey game…a pee-wee game for kids! The trouble started after a pee-wee hockey game in Vancouver when the teams lined up for the traditional post-game handshakes. Suddenly, one of the coaches got nasty and tripped a player on the other team. Two players – a 10-year-old and a 13-year-old – fell to the ice.

The move was caught on camera and ended up going viral. The coach was charged with assault and pleaded guilty in November…and today a judge sentenced him to 15 days in jail. The judge says he did not think that time served in the community was a strong enough deterrent and that the coach should spend some time behind bars.

So what do you think? Does the punishment fit the crime? Sound off!
