US sees this – 2 1/2 years old – as a national security issue ? then what are we doing about it?

This Bloomberg report is more than 2 1/2 years old…any progress by the Obama Administration on this?   The video news report is reporting President Obama’s April 09 trip to Mexico and quotes US sources as saying this (the violence in Mexico) is a “national security issue.”

The President has had 2 1/2 years to deal with this war on our border ….are you satisfied with what he had done as our leader about Mexico, our next door neighbor?

Here are a few things to consider from just the past few days – a woman employee of a newspaper was  decapitated with a note left next to her body to scare others from doing what she did (she posted about the drug cartels on line.)  Want more ? Try this a few days ago — 35 bodies (24 men, 11 women) dumped at a busy intersection in a tourism city in Mexico. I could go on and on and on with more violence and it happens every day!

I wish more networks and more news shows would report on this war next door.  The LA Times and the AP do a great job in print but this national security topic needs help!  I am grateful that Bloomberg put the spotlight on this crisis. But I do wonder, will it take someone walking across the border with a dirty bomb to wake up people?  How many more innocents in Mexico have to die before the national security issue gets the attention it needs.

We continue to report on it on ON THE RECORD at 10pm and will do so again tonight.  I hope you tune in tonight.

In the meantime, watch this 2 1/2 year old news report and ask yourself, any progress???
