Past Ross Perot?

Travel Pool Report #3
April 24, 2013

The motorcade made its way up the highway and into one of the city’s most exclusive neighborhoods, passing multimillion-dollar houses guarded by elaborate gates. According to the ever-generous Todd Gillman, the motorcade passed Ross Perot’s house, and the site of the fundraiser is about a mile as the crow flies to President George W. Bush’s house.

Motorcade arrived at 7:16 p.m. at the home of Naomi Aberly, a top Democratic bundler, and her husband Laurence Lebowitz, a hedge fund investor. From the outside, the house looks more institutional than residential, like a small concert hall. According to D Magazine, the house, built in 1963, is the 33rd most expensive in Dallas, valued at $11,404,520. It has 12,057 square feet. Your pool is being held in a separate building with a wall-sized television screen, what seems like a giant home theater.

About 60 guests paid anywhere from $10,000 to $32,400 for dinner with the president, according to a Democratic official who declined to be identified by name or organization. The money all goes to the Democratic National Committee. Among the guests are Ron Kirk, the former Dallas mayor and former USTR, and Henry Munoz III, now the DNC’s finance chair.

Print poolers will be brought in for remarks.
