Event at former Costco CEO – and two Democratic Senators from Washington state are not attending….how come? click to read

Subject: WH travel pool report #5

Pool arrived at the second Seattle event just before 6 p.m.

It’s closed to press, so poolers are sitting in vans.

The Senate Majority PAC would not provide the number of attendees or $

amounts, but confirmed the content of the invite published in Seattle

press reports. Those reports say the PAC fundraiser is at the house of

former Costco chief Jim Sinegal.

Here’s what the Seattle Times said about it: “Sens. Maria Cantwell and

Patty Murray are remaining in D.C. and will not attend fundraiser.

“President Obama’s Tuesday fundraising swing through the Seattle area

will include a high-priced dinner event benefiting a Democratic super

PAC.

“The event is scheduled at the Hunt’s Point home of former Costco CEO

Jim Sinegal and his wife Jan, according to a copy of the invitation

obtained by the Seattle Times. The price tag for the event is $25,000

per person, with proceeds going to the Senate Majority PAC, a

Democratic group that accepts unlimited donations.”
