Subject: In-Town Pool Report #1

Marine One took off from the South Lawn of the White House at 10:39 a.m. en route to Joint Base Andrews in bright sunshine.

The president did not stop for questions, but appeared to mouth “what?” and smile to a shouted question about whether and where he was going to watch the Opening Ceremonies.

He also didn’t stop for a shouted question on whether immigration reform was still alive — but not clear he could hear above the din.

He was wearing a dark overcoat.

Among those on board were Dan Pfeiffer, Jay Carney and Valerie Jarrett.
