Hillary Clinton introduced President Obama and President Clinton as “44″ and “42.” In her introduction, she said they have a lot in common like golf, sports, being Democrats and only losing one election.
Messrs. Obama and Clinton settled into 2 big, cushy, white chairs for their conversation, like they were chatting on the set of Oprah. Each had a hand-held microphone.
Mr. Obama addressed Mr. Clinton as “Mr. President” and said he misses Mrs. Clinton as secretary of State. He joked that Mrs. Clinton was right that both men had married up.
Mr. Clinton’s first question to Mr. Obama was why, in the midst of all the economic troubles in 2009, did you take on health care?
Mr. Obama scooted to the edge of his chair and leaned toward Mr. Clinton. “Well,” he said, “health care is the economy.”

Mr. Obama talked about the politics of health care. He said politically Obamacare has become “a litmus test” for Republicans.
Mr. Obama appeared to take a swipe at Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. Mr. Obama said one Republican said he’s leading the fight against Obamacare now because once people sign up after Oct. 1 they’re not going to want to give it up.
The discussion wrapped up around 5:55pm. Pool is holding in motorcade waiting to depart.
