Joint Base Andrews
Nearly 10 hours after departing Hawaii, President Obama arrived at Joint Base Andrews. Air Force One touched down at 9:55 a.m. under gray skies.
Toward the end of the flight, Obama visited the press cabin for an off-the-record chat.
The president, Malia and Sasha emerged from the plane looking more bundled up, as Kailua’s 80 degrees and sunshine has been replaced by 36 degrees and icy slush. The president wore a black jacket over his button-down shirt and gray pants.
Obama and his daughters quickly boarded Marine One, which lifted off at 10:07 a.m.
For the final time, aloha and mahalo!
